Doctor Luigi Is The Cure For End Of Year Of Luigi Blues
The Year of Luigi has been a big hit for Nintendo, tying together Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Mario and Luigi Dream Team, and New Super Mario 3D World (among others). Now, a classic puzzler gets a new look with Doctor Luigi.
Doctor Luigi offers classic Doctor Mario virus-busting gameplay, with a few twists. New L-shaped pills can be used to set up bigger combos. The competitive mode also encourages this, as your opponent can find themselves having to change strategy at the last minute as their next pill changes color.
You’ll be able to download Doctor Luigi from the Wii U eShop on December 31, 2013, sending the Year of Luigi off in style. Additionally, Nintendo has a special Luigi-themed collectible in the Club Nintendo right now. You can get it for 1,500 reward coins. Given that games registrations are typically 40 - 60 coins, you might be saving for a while.
