The Last Of Us Gets A Fan-Made Lego Treatment

by Katie Seville on Dec 12, 2013 at 11:10 AM

If you're a fan of Lego video games, than you've probably wondered what other titles might look like as a Lego game. YouTube user Brian Anderson has as well, and has created a video showing what "Lego The Last of Us" might look and play like.

In this mock-gameplay footage, Joel and Ellie take down some Clickers, who are much less frightening than their realistic counterparts. Anderson's video looks and feels like it could be from a real game, incorporating mechanics from The Last of Us into the Lego video game formula. He's also included a surprise, but you'll need to watch the video below to find out what it is.

Due to the child-friendly nature of Lego video games, it's unlikely that we'll ever see one based on an M-rated game like The Last of Us. Thanks to talented animators like Anderson, however, we can at least see what these games could be like.

To see more fan-made works inspired by The Last of Us, watch Iron Horse Cinema Production's fan-film and its sequel in our previous coverage. The game is also included in a 2013 video game compilation video from YouTube user Malcolm Klock.

If you'd like to see a more tangible Lego creation, check out the Joker's Funhouse by Paul Hetherington. It's even more impressive when you see it in motion.
