Track Twenty-Two Of The Top Battlefield 4 Issues

In an effort to share the latest Battlefield 4 updates with players, DICE has created a new tracker for the game’s most pressing issues. On the list are 22 different problems that the DICE team has fixed, is fixing, or is in the process of investigating.

Included on this list are the “one-hit kill” bug, the causes of crashes on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and the problems with the game’s server browser across platforms. Of the twenty-two issues, three are labeled as “fix live,” one is fixed on some platforms, six are listed as “fixing,” and the remaining twelve are under investigation.

Some of those in the “investigating” column are a large amount of crashes on Xbox 360, instances of “no hit effects and no damage” to opponent in a player’s sights, and matchmaking problems on Xbox One. We’ll be following this and update as new fixes are rolled out.

Our Take
This list of issues looks like something I might expect during the QA phase of a game’s development. Instead, we’re seeing this over a month from initial release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. I appreciate the transparency, but it’s clear that Battlefield 4 came out of the oven before it was fully baked. Again, I’d caution against spending any more money on the game (Premium membership or DLC) until the game is stable on your platform of choice.
