Infinity Blade III Special Event Ties In With Upcoming Film "47 Ronin"
Starting December 13, Infinity Blade III players will be able to participate in a new ClashMob event to obtain a unique weapon from the film 47 Ronin starring Keanu Reeves.
Players from around the world must work together to beat challenges and defeat the Samurai Brute, an enemy in the movie. If they're successful, they will be rewarded with the Brute's sword. This is the only way to get the sword.
Those with the free Soul Hunter update can find the 47 Ronin ClashMob event right now in the world map. Preregistration is open for players who want to prepare early.
Infinity Blade III released in September for iOS and received a glowing review from Game Informer. 47 Ronin will arrive in theaters on December 25.

As long as the movie tie-in isn't shoved down players' throats, this looks like a great ClashMob event. The Samurai Brute fits the aesthetics of the Infinity Blade III world and nobody's going to complain about a free unique weapon. The quality of the 47 Ronin remake, on the other hand, is still in question...
