VGX Live Schedule Outlines What To Expect

VGX Live (formerly the VGAs) is happening tonight, and though we don't know exactly what will be shown and premiered, a schedule of events gives us a pretty good idea.

We don't have exact times, but this schedule of events will give you a good idea of what's coming up while watching the show.

Pre-show:

  • Exclusive look at Thief


Hour One:

  • VGX Live begins
  • The first secret world premiere trailer airs
  • Humor website Smosh.com presents the future of video games
  • Special Tomb Raider announcement
  • Lara Croft's performer, Camilla Luddington, appears
  • The award for either best action adventure or sports game is presented
  • Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime shows a new demo for a previously announced game
  • Another award is presented
  • Quantum Break reveal followed by a presentation from Remedy's Oskari Hakkien
  • A second mysterious world premiere

Hour Two:

  • South Park: The Stick of Truth premiere
  • Game of the year award, presented by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone
  • Mega 64 picks ups the pieces covering awards that were forgotten
  • Destiny premiere
  • Donkey Kong world championships behind the scenes presentation
  • Double Fine's Broken Age premiere
  • Rooster Teeth presents cameo of the year award
  • Either Tom Clancy's The Division or The Withcher 3: Wild Hunt premiere
  • Best indie game aware presented
  • A third secret world premiere
  • Dying Light demo presentation
  • YouTube's Pewdiepie appearance
  • Thief world premiere
  • The award for either the best shooter or studio of the year award is presented
  • Character of the year award presented
  • A third mysterious world premiere
  • One final award presentation
  • Titanfall premiere
  • Grand Theft Auto V music performance

Our Take
There are a lot of exciting things happening tonight. Spike's award event previously revealed games like The Phantom Pain, which eventually turned into Metal Gear Solid V, and Epic's continually mysterious Fortnite. I'm looking forward to what we will learn about tonight.
