Reader Discussion: Are You Missing Backward Compatibility?

by Mike Futter on Dec 04, 2013 at 10:00 AM

Platform holders have often dismissed backward compatibility as an inconsequential feature. The PlayStation 3 was capable of it at launch, and the Xbox 360 added a number of titles via software emulations. This time out, neither the PlayStation 4 nor the Xbox One support last-generation titles.
