The lights are on
The 2DS is about to get its first bundles, and the wedge-shaped devices will be coming pre-loaded with your choice of Pokemon X or Pokemon Y. If you want to catch them all though, you'll need to make two different stops. The red Pokemon X 2DS will be available at Target. The blue Pokemon Y 2DS will be available at Toys R Us. Both hit the shelves on December 6, 2013, for a price of $149.99. The 2DS regularly retails for $129.99 with no game packed in.These are limited runs, so if you want one, you'll need to act quickly. Pokemon X and Y reviewed well here at Game Informer, and isn't a bad starting point, as detailed by Dan Ryckert shortly after the game was released. Our TakeI'm still skeptical about the 2DS, but I've learned to trust Nintendo on the handheld front. 2013 was truly the year of the 3DS (sorry, Luigi), and the 2DS puts those games in even more little hands.
