December’s PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection Shoots, Loots, And Races

by Mike Futter on Nov 28, 2013 at 04:28 AM

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. With December just a few days away, Sony has revealed the five titles that are coming to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection. It’s going to be another great month.

While there are no PlayStation 4 titles hitting in December, the five games (three on PS3 and two on Vita) are strong offerings. On PlayStation 3, you’ll be getting Borderlands 2, Grid 2, and Dyad. PlayStation Vita fans get Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed and Urban Trial Freestyle.

The first of these will hit on Tuesday, December 3. Based on past months, Sony typically goes big in the first week. This month, that could mean Borderlands 2 or Grid 2 leading the pack.

Our Take
Borderlands 2 continues to receive fantastic post-launch support. Sonic’s latest kart outing is one of my favorites ever released in the genre, and while I’ve only played it on console, I’m looking forward to seeing how it fares on Vita.

Of particular note is Grid 2, which only came out in the spring of this year. I wish every free-game-with-subscription offering was as worthwhile as what PlayStation Plus offers.
