Reader Discussion: Do You Game With Your Family On Thanksgiving?

by Mike Futter on Nov 26, 2013 at 10:45 AM

Every family has different traditions for the holidays. At my grandmother’s house, where I’ve spent 32 of my 34 Thanksgivings, the television is usually on in the family room (my grandfather loved football), the kids are typically playing on the floor, and my Dad is helping serve the meal.

Except for a couple of years, we’ve never really gathered around the television to play games. In fact, Wii Sports was one of the only titles able to coax the non-gamers to join us.

With the popularity and accessibility of the Wii and Wii U, there is more opportunity to gather the family. Have you managed to introduce video games to the holiday festivities? If so, what to you like to play?
