Twitch Archiving Coming To PS4, Under Consideration For Xbox One
When Sony first released its big PlayStation 4 FAQ document, one of the things that jumped out to us was that Twitch streaming would be archived (while Ustream wouldn’t be). Somewhere along the line, the FAQ got updated and Twitch archiving was quietly removed. Thankfully, it will be coming to the PlayStation 4 in the future.
Sony has shared with Joystiq that the feature will be implemented in the future, though no specific timeframe was mentioned. Earlier this week, Microsoft confirmed that Twitch streaming from the Xbox One won’t be implemented until next year. Whether archiving will be enabled when that happened has not yet been disclosed.
