One of the most exciting indirect impacts of the PlayStation 4 is the new value it brings to the PlayStation Vita. Sony’s handheld has had a slow start, but the ability to remotely play PS4 titles makes it a great companion for the new home console.

According to MCV, Sony is planning on packaging the two devices together for the holidays. No price or additional peripherals have been specified.

Our Take
This is a smart move, especially as cross-buy enters the PlayStation 4 era. The PlayStation 4’s remote play on Vita works pretty well, and the handheld’s OLED screen does a respectable job of making things look great.
