Stream Your Minecraft Session to Twitch With Just One Button Press

by Mike Trinh on Nov 21, 2013 at 10:15 AM

Earlier this month, Mojang and Twitch announced that they were teaming up to integrate streaming into Minecraft. Now, players can make use of this feature.

The only step that players need to take first is linking their Mojang account to a Twitch account. Then, hitting F6 while playing Minecraft will automatically begin live streaming the game session. Video settings can be changed in the Broadcast Options menu.

Mojang says the streaming feature isn't complete yet, and there may be some bugs early on. It is only available on PC and Mac for now.

Visit Mojang's site to learn more about streaming to Twitch and to download the update. Be sure to read about how Twitch works on next-gen consoles as well.

Our Take:
Since this feature was announced less than three weeks ago, I am surprised that Mojang got it rolling out already. It seems very easy to use and will become more useful as live streaming grows in popularity. I'm very curious to see how the Minecraft community will make use of this feature.
