The lights are on
I'm the kind of gamer that buys a Madden title every few years. I'll occasionally get the itch to play FIFA. I'm not what you'd call a diehard sports gamer, but I do know how to appreciate one that look great and plays extremely well. I also know that the immediate post-launch window is thin on titles, which makes gamers more flexible about buying games they might not otherwise.I played NBA 2K14 today and I think it's likely to be the Fight Night: Round 3 of this generation. For those that don't recall, EA's boxing sim was extremely popular beyond its normal audience. It was one of the first titles on the Xbox 360 that felt really "next gen," and that meant that many who've never watched a fight gave it a try.NBA 2K14 has that same feel. The visuals are extremely well polished, the audio includes real interviews that fit the events of the game, and the Eco-Motion engine creates largely natural movements that surpass much of what we've seen before. In short, if you're like me and want to enjoy as many new, great experiences on next-gen consoles, NBA 2K14 is worth a look.
The only sport game im into is Racing. I've always disliked Basketball, football, etc. Its just not my thing.
Never purchased a basketball game before but this is definitely top 3 games I'm looking forward to on ps4.
This is very true, the only sports games I play are nhl & madden but very little & never really played or even enjoyed 2k I don't even watch basketball but I intend on getting 2k14 it's the minute details that they've implemented into next gen like the way ball bounces/ realistic foot placement, how (supposedly) each time the player lands it's unique like in reality. It's these small improvements to make the game realistic that's really got me interested
Great to hear. I've heard online that NBA 2K14 on current-gen was disappointing for many people.
Hmm. Might pick this one up instead of Madden
Like Mike, I don't buy sports games too often either. Once in a while, and it's usually when they've actually made some real changes to the engine. I wouldn't even care if I was playing with an old team roster. Now that ecoMotion engine... that's something that intrigues me. As a gamer, I see that as something that might make a difference to my gaming experience. Hopefully the controls are tight too.
I'm really excited for this game!
Well for me I really wanted to get NBA live 14 , but since seeing the previews & comparisons . I have really changed my mind now & I don't go by reviews or previews but this time I had to. I'm very impressed with this game & will pickit up for sure in the promotion of by 2 get 1 free. PS4 day 1 shipping I'm out!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I play it without thinking about strategy? I miss the arcade offensive juggernaut feel of the flagship sports games from 20years ago. Maybe I will just buy it and go ez-mode for a season. Of course now that we have Love, Rubio and Martin in town things might be all right.
I put off buying 2K14 so I could have it for the Xbox One. I'm glad to know you feel this one could be a "game changer" (no pun intended). So far, I've been impressed by the Eco-Motion engine & the visuals. It makes me excited to see what they can do with 2K15. Sorry EA, I know where my money's going lol!
After watching the stream, all I really have to say is, I don't put my hype on NBA Live. EA = changing nothing but shiny grass and 2k made an actual effort to make 2k14 next gen.
