Microsoft Holding User Submitted Gamerpics Contest

by Kyle Hilliard on Nov 12, 2013 at 01:36 PM

Microsoft is holding a contest where 100 user-sbmitted pieces of art will be selected for use by Xbox One players.

The contest is fairly simple: submit your designs, vote on your favorites, and the winners get to see their art used by other Xbox Live users. Submitted art can be original creative art or photography, but should not include any text. Voting begins December 9.

You can find more information here, and all the rules for the contest here.

Our Take
It's a small thing, but having a healthy selection if imagery available to choose from early on is nice. I was always disappointed with Xbox Live's early options, and even more disappointed by the PlayStation Network's. I'm curious to see what designs people will come up with.
