Should've Thought Twice Before Releasing Tingle

by Katie Seville on Nov 07, 2013 at 07:25 AM

Anyone who's played either incarnation of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has probably wondered why Tingle was imprisoned on Windfall Island in the first place. Just what did he do?

Young Link could be excused for carelessly releasing the Peter Pan-wannabe, but did any of you stop to think whether he'd been locked up for a reason? Was he a common thief, a sea-faring outlaw, or just plain too weird for the islanders to bear?

Artist Katie Tiedrich, a.k.a. Awkward Zombie, explores one possibility in "Photo Finished", a comic strip based on true events in The Wind Waker HD:

There are quite a few skulls laying around in the tunnels beneath Tingle's cell. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? Visit the Awkward Zombie website to see "Photo Finished" and other comic strips by Tiedrich.
