Blizzard Teases "Significant" World Of Warcraft Content

by Jeff Cork on Nov 07, 2013 at 04:03 AM

World of Warcraft players have much to look forward to, if recent comments by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick are any indication. Kotick told investors in last night's earnings call that the company is working on "significant" new content for the MMORPG.

The company recently trademarked the name Warlords of Draenor, which could point toward another WoW expansion. The last major expansion to the game, Mists of Pandaria, was released last September.

In the same earnings call, Blizzard President Mike Morhaime said the company has more resources dedicated to World of Warcraft content creation than ever before.

If Blizzard is ready to make any official announcements regarding Warlords of Draenor or reveal any specific plans about World of Warcraft's future, it's likely to happen in the next two days. Blizzard is hosting its BlizzCon fan convention starting tomorrow in Anaheim, Calif. The company is selling virtual tickets for those who can't attend but don't want to miss a single moment. For about $40, you'll get access to live HD content from the event.
