The lights are on
Sony has just updated its list of PlayStation 4 launch titles to include DC Universe Online (you can see the full list here). We’ve also learned that another free-to-play game from Sony Online will be landing early next year.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Sony Online Entertainment head John Smedley states that Planetside 2 is on track for an early 2014 release. Sony has touted a number of free-to-play titles for the PlayStation 4, two of which will be available at launch (as of now).
In addition to the DC Comics-themed MMO, Digital Extremes is set to roll out Warframe on November 15. We also know that Blacklight: Retribution from Zombie Studios and War Thunder from Gaijin Entertainment are slated for launch on the PlayStation 4.

Our TakePlanetside 2 could be a huge win for Sony. It has a faithful player base on PC (though the two communities will be separate), and it supports enormous battles, the scope of which have not before been seen on console. Additionally, Sony is hoping to capitalize on a broader base of users by keeping free titles in front of the PlayStation Plus paywall. I’m eager to play Planetside 2 and see what all the fuss is about.

This is an exciting one. Looking forward to this massive game.
Maaaaaaan I'm so glad I'll be able to play this
I think I've finally made my console decision...
Cant wait. I dont have a computer with the ability to play this and I very interested to see it in action.
Loved this game on PC (Still currently play it) Absolutely can't wait to play it on my PS4, this is a huge title in my opinion no other game matches the amount and size of combat you get in Planetside 2!!!
One of the most memorable gaming experiences of my life involves the first Planetside: It was a lengthy battle over a base and there were hundreds of people everywhere! Lazers, rockets, machine gun fire at every turn with a wall of enemies on the other side of a forest. Planes deploying reinforcements, tanks getting blown to smithereens, suicidal people on ATV's. Epic doesn't begin to describe it.
Also, wandering the snowy continent in a dune buggy with a trunk load full of extra sniper ammo and rockets.
Hiding under rocks in the desert outside a base picking off stragglers....
I can't wait for this game!
I've never played it. But I guarantee I'll be checking out any free games on the ps4.
Can't wait to play this when I buy a gaming PC! I'll just have to find a clan...
It's going to look even more beautiful than ever.
I look forward to trying this out.
At first when i heard about the F2P model wasn't sure how to take it. But now its a great idea because it gives the consumer a chance to play the game & then the opportunity to buy the microtransactions for the game if they want. Its all about options.
