Rockstar Kicks Off The First GTA V Snapmatic Photo Contest
We've seen a ton of great images born out of the iFruit camera app in Grand Theft Auto V. Now, Rockstar is putting the community's skills to the test with an official photo contest.
Starting now and running through Monday, November 4, the #EpicPhotoBomb contest pits shutterbugs against one another in the quest to capture the best photobomb. To enter, simply upload your shots to the Snapmatic page from your iFruit phone, visit your My Photos section of the Rockstar Social Club, and add the hashtag #EpicPhotoBomb.
Rockstar will pick the five best shots and share them on its Newswire. Each winner also receives a prize pack featuring a GTA V tee-shirt, iFruit phone case, and a stuffed animal of Chop.
Our Take
With the Rockstar Social Club and Grand Theft Auto Online, Rockstar is starting to foster a strong sense of community. These sorts of reward contests are a great way of rewarding players so heavily invested in their virtual worlds. We hope to see more of these types of contests moving forward, especially in relation to the user generated missions and races that we expect to see en masse once Rockstar releases the creation tools.
