Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Launch Trailer Emphasizes Freedom And Destruction

by Mike Trinh on Oct 29, 2013 at 08:15 AM

On Battlefield 4's release day, EA and DICE dropped an exhilarating trailer for the game's multiplayer component. Although the video demonstrate features that were in the last entry, many new changes are flaunted as well.

In the trailer, multiple buildings, a dam, and a skyscraper can be seen collapsing to show that destruction has been given an upgrade. Boats play a greater role this time around, as many maps have more open water areas. Commander mode can be seen briefly as well, with the player controlling an AC-130. Other features include counter-knifing, using weapons while in the water, and taking an ATV into an elevator then driving it off a toppling building.

Battlefield 4 is already out on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It will release on the PlayStation 4 on November 12 and the Xbox One on November 19. Check out our review of the game.

Our Take
I put hundreds of hours into Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 multiplayer, but I honestly did not really consider getting this game until I saw this trailer. When I see all of the new features together, it seems like enough has changed to warrant a return to the battlefield. What do you think?
