The lights are on
This week marks the first of the major (non-sports) cross-generation titles hitting current hardware. Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag both arrive tomorrow, and Call of Duty: Ghosts hits in just one week. So, we want to know if you'll be diving right in, or if you are holding out for the versions on next-gen hardware.
It's important to note that many of these titles will offer upgrade options. Madden 25, FIFA 14, and the three games mentioned above will all be available in shiny, new-gen flavor for just $10. How that will work on each console (and whether you've purchased retail or digital) varies. Additionally, many of these will allow users to carry over multiplayer progress to the new versions (but single-player activity will not).
So with that said, will you be jumping into one or more of these imminent releases on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, or are you waiting for Xbox One or PlayStation 4? If you're diving in now, are you purchasing at retail, or are you going to take advantage of the digital upgrade program? Let us know in the comments.

Heck, no. AC4 can't wait.
No, I'm not. If I do get these games, they will be for myPS3 only.
I just started an AC 3 playthrough for the first time. I'll be waiting for AC4 on the PS4. I won't be getting a PS4 right away anyways, so it might be longer than normal.
Depends. I was going to either Ghosts or BF4 for this gen, and repurchase on upgrading to next-gen. On most games like Watch Dogs (before the delay), Assassin's Creed, Titanfall, etc, I'll wait.
I'm so far behind on my gaming backlog that I will probably get the next-gen versions on any game that I have yet to purchase.
I'm one of those waiting for next gen. I literally have BF4, AC Black Flag, NBA 2K14 and COD: Ghosts preordered for PS4 (along with Killzone and NBA Live). I figured why the hell not lol. It sort of adds to the suspense for me and I've been ready for a new console for about a year.
I am waiting to purchase Madden 25, COD Ghosts, BF4 & AC4 on the Playstation 4. I have all the games reserved and feel I can wait a week or two to play the next gen versions (with the exception of waiting for Madden for months). I am buying the physical versions from Gamestop (GameInformer's parent company (HA!)).
Once I get some money, which hopefully will be Friday, I will be stopping by GameStop to pick up AC IV after I get out of class. I'm still not sure about Battlefield 4, I might wait for that because I have too many other games to deal with.
The only cross-generation games I plan on getting are Assassin's Creed and Battlefield, but I'm going to wait until next-generation to get them. I have three research papers due this semester so I'm trying to get them all done before the Xboxone releases.
I am. In particular, the difference with Battlefield 4 between the PS3 and the PS4 should be night and day.
I'm waiting, I'll pick up Battlefield 4 and IF Assassins Creed 4 is any good I'll pick it up on next gen.
Actually yeah! I'm so excited for the PS4. Im thinking of getting ghosts, and black flag, and battlefield with knack and shadow fall. I'm one HELL of a night!!!
