A Peek At Final Retail Xbox One Game Boxes

by Matt Miller on Oct 28, 2013 at 11:05 AM

In the world of video game roll-outs, one of the last things to show up is the actual retail box. While game publishers often have decided on and publicized the art for the game box some months earlier, those final boxes only show up in the weeks before release.

That’s why this brief glimpse from the Twitter feeds of @Xbox FR and its community manager @Mister_Moreau, are so tantalizing. We see a number of the final Xbox One boxes stacked together, ready to be played.

Xbox One and its launch games are out on November  22nd. If you’re picking up one of these new Microsoft systems, which launch games are you considering?

Our Take
Stacked game boxes aren’t exactly world-shaking news, but these images do show off how close we are to the long-awaited system launch, and offer a potent picture of what Microsoft considers its top tier of launch products. As lineups go, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, and Forza should all show off the console’s new technology with aplomb.
