The lights are on
Xbox.com has been updated and now includes an Xbox One coat of paint. There is also a new video that shows the dashboard in action.
You will have to head here to see the video as there is no simple way to embed it. The video shows the world's most fickle entertainment media consumer as he moves from watching a movie, to watching TV, to playing a game, to chatting with a friend, all in less than two minutes.
The website has additional Xbox One details, but it doesn't appear to be any new information. Rather, it presents everything in a very clean, informational layout.

Our TakeI am incredulous that the video is real time, or that the voice commands will work as well as they do in the video, but those concerns aside, it's a very clean, fluid interface. I may actually use the Skype video chat function if it truly works as quickly and as well as it does here.

Looks cool, some things I noticed was that there were only three tabs, rather than the, I believe five that the 360 has. There was no game tab or anything. Plus, the avatars obviously looked strange, or were those gamerpictures? Another thing was the fact that underneath the guys gamertag it said something, was that his motto or a title he unlocked?

Looks great. As you said Kyle, I'm also concerned as how well will it perform.
Well we know for a fact you can't just jump into a game someone's already in the middle of playing so right off the bat the video is bull-shot. That said based on what we saw at several live demos I do believe it will work rather smoothly provided your home isn't noisy as hell. End of the day though I wish companies wouldn't result to faking a video to sell things like this.
The website is in shambles. Why is everything aligned to the left of my browser window? :S
Turns out the tour they're doing actually has a stop on my campus, so I'm pretty pumped to experience the UI (and games) first hand
i cant get the video to show for me in google chrome >< lol

Hate to break it to you, but nothing works as flawless as it does in a video. I doubt any of this was in "real time." These are promo videos to show what you can expect, slow downs can be expect, but i cant wait for Nov 22.
