The lights are on
The Wii U Virtual Console's slow stream of releases will have another title to add to its roster on Halloween: Super Castlevania IV.
The game will be available to download on October 31 for the standard SNES price of $7.99, unless you already own the game on Wii, in which case it will cost $1.50 to get the Wii U version.
Our TakeNintendo is running out of time to re-re-re-release (it has already re-released on Game Boy Advance and the Wii Virtual Console) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the Wii U's Virtual Console to be timely with A Link Between Worlds. I would love to play that on my GamePad to prepare for the upcoming 3DS game.

Virtual Console is really fun on the gamepad. Now if only they had Gamecube games...
hehe this preview gave away all the secrets!
Great news. Hopefully, ALTTP is next up.
Man, this is in my top ten favorite games of all time. I love Super Castlevania IV... but not enough to get a Wii U.
Super Castlevania 4 was a smashing good time back on the SNES and it's great it is coming to the Wii U virtual shop. I hope Nintendo follows suit with more games between now and into next year. ^_^
For 8 bucks I'm getting this. It was a game I really enjoyed on the SNES.
Already have it for the VC from the Wii. This slow trickle of Virtual Console titles continues to be a major failing.
Virtual Boy games should be on the 3DS, the Saturn and Dreamcast should be included, the Wii Ware and Wii VC shops should be merged with the Wii U eShop, and they're just releasing too many damn games that they ALREADY RELEASED ON THE WII VIRTUAL CONSOLE. C'mon now.
IMO, Super Castlevania IV was the best in the series. Good to see the Wii U get a good game, even if it is from the 90's.
