The lights are on
To celebrate the sixth anniversary of the series, developer CD Projekt has released an infographic on the franchise as well as some custom Geralt art.
The studio also says that the series has sold six million games worldwide.
"CD Projekt RED was built on the idea that giving gamers more is always worth it," says Adam Badowski, head of the developer. "Since the very beginning of our journey we have seen that the approach of inviting gamers into a dialogue with the developer is really important and can shake up the – sometimes self-destructive – business side of games. We hope you'll stay with us for the years to come and that we will continue to make these changes together."

Our Take:Between The Witcher franchise and GOG.com, studio CD Projekt RED and larger entity CD Projekt have accomplished a great deal in the industry. Hopefully their spirit and energy mean that Cyberpunk 2077 is as big of a hit and that fans take a look at it just because it was done by CD Projekt RED. You can't buy that kind of trust and loyalty.

Ah, the Witcher. PC gaming has never been so coral.
Who doesn't love charts? That is an awesome picture too.
Got both games and loved them. TW2 was pretty much the only reason I bought an Xbox360. I am really looking forward to The Wild Hunt!
That is really cool, the witcher 3 is going to be awesome.
I'm REALLY excited about Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077!
Amazing infograph!!!!!!! Lots of man hours in that piece and a great use of space and placement.
I absolutely loved the Witcher 2 and The Last Wish! I can't wait for the Witcher 3 to come out, I plan on getting it on launch!
Geralt's face is made of tirangles? I'm pretty sure they mean triangles.
I hope the Witcher 3 pulls in the big numbers they deserve if only to shake up the rest of the professional gaming community and show what can be done if you run a gamer centric operations. Happy birthday CD project and here looking forward to many more to come.
is there a release date yet?
Best game developer period, they beat out bethesda with me due to their support for TW2 and hatred of paid dlc.
CD Projekt are the best example of good guys in this industry. Here's hoping TW3's story, world and gameplay are enough to put Bioware, Bethesda, and the mainstream market on notice.
really can't wait for witcher3 , i just hope i'm not gonna need a new graphics card for it again like i did for 2 , after the last 2 games cd projekt red is my #1 dev i wanna see more from
I hated the first Witcher, but have never played the second. But from what I've heard, I definitely need to play the second one.
One of the harder to enjoy game franchise, gameplay wise, but damn if it isn't one of the best stories I've played in a long while.
I love the saga of The Witcher. I have read all the books. The Witcher 3 promises to be great. I just hope that the open world will not adversely affect the quality of the story. The story should be the main focus.
Dragon Age: Inquisition and The Witcher 3 are my most anticipated games for 2014.
