Plants Vs. Zombies 2 On Android Devices Now

by Mike Futter on Oct 24, 2013 at 03:18 AM

There was a groan heard round the mobilesphere when EA and PopCap announced that Plants vs. Zombies 2 was coming to iOS devices first. Now, two months (and millions of downloads) later, Android fans can finally join Crazy Dave's time traveling adventure.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 is now out worldwide for Android devices. The title is fully integrated with Google Play Game Services, and it's free-to-play (with in-app purchases). You can read our review of the title here.

Our Take
Android fans have been clamoring for PopCap's botanical beauty, though the switch to free-to-play has been a bit off-putting for some. Some plants can only be unlocked with real money, but as you'll read in our review, they are optional. The best part of free-to-play is that you can give it a try and make your decision after sampling.
