PS4 Watch Dogs And Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Extra Content Exclusivity Expires After Six Months

by Kyle Hilliard on Oct 23, 2013 at 02:44 PM

Sony recently lost one of its PlayStation 4 launch exclusives with the delay of DriveClub. The latest video highlighting the next-gen console points out the remaining exclusives, revealing that the extra Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch Dogs content will only be exclusive for six months.

Each game has an additional 60 minutes of content when you play on Sony's consoles, but it looks like that content might become DLC for competing consoles after a period of time. Just because Ubisoft can release the content for other consoles after six-months, however, is not a guarantee that it will.

Our Take
This is a pretty common practice now – timed exclusivity – so it's not too surprising to learn that this is the case. I imagine that the extra content might not be hugely impactful to the story of the two games, but we will have to wait and see.
