The lights are on
Irrational Games co-founder and creative director Ken Levine will be recognized with a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Joysticks this Friday. This is the first time that a lifetime achievement award will be presented at the ceremony.
Levine's credits include System Shock 2, BioShock, and BioShock Infinite. We had the chance to play the upcoming BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea Episode 1 DLC recently and interview Levine about the title. The first part of the Burial at Sea story will be out this holiday, with the conclusion due in 2014.
The Golden Joystick Awards will be held in London, England, at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel this Friday, October 25, 2013.
Our TakeKen Levine is a fantastic storyteller, and I've enjoyed speaking with him about BioShock Infinite and his approach to that game's mysteries. I enjoyed Burial at Sea Part 1 and look forward to conversing with others once it's released later this year.

He deserves that award, Infinite successfully got my dad playing games other than MMOs again.
System Shock is amazing and the Bioshock games were very well done. Good for him for winning the award. Looking forward to seeing where he goes next.
Congratulations to Mr. Levine.
In my opinion, it's very well deserved.
Big Congrats to Ken Levine. He does deserve this award. I know there are people who couldn't get into Bioshock, but they are extraordinary games.
About time someone gave credit where it's due. This man is a legend.
