The lights are on
Sony has announced that digital pre-orders are open now for some PlayStation 4 titles. Each of the four titles comes with a bonus.
Killzone: Shadow Fall will come with The Shadow Pack, which includes the soundtrack, a skin for the in-game OWL drone, and a "multiplayer spotlight move." Call of Duty: Ghosts (in standard or hardened editions) comes with the Free Fall map.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (in standard or gold edition) comes with an Aveline ship figurehead. Finally, Battlefield 4 comes with the China Rising expansion pack.
As a reminder, Assassin's Creed IV, Battlefield 4, and Call of Duty: Ghosts are eligible for the $10 upgrade plan. If you purchase one of these titles on PlayStation 3 (digitally or via retail), you can upgrade to the PlayStation 4 digital version for $10 more. Our TakeI love the idea of digital pre-orders, assuming that purchasers will be able to pre-load content once consoles are in-hand. Next-generation titles are likely to be quite large. My only hesitation about digital alongside the console launch is the immense server traffic that could pop up. If Sony (and a week later Microsoft) weather the storm and are able to deliver data and get people playing quickly, it will go a long way to allaying my fears about these enormous game downloads.

Not sure pre ordering digital is necessary.
Steam is slowly changing my views on all digital mediums. I still like having the physical disk though. If anything goes wrong, I can always pop that sucker in to play.
i ... rather stick with my hard copies , since ya know nice to have and they don't take up hard drive space to the same extent
I am liking the push to digital. I will have a mix but I will definitely gear myself towards digital as long as the games aren't HUGE since the HDDs are only 500 GB. Although I heard people say the PS4 is swappable so that can easily be rectified.
When's Microsoft doing this? I have been asking all over how to pre-order the digital Battlefield 4 for the China Rising Pack. Then I found out the CRP was included in Battlefield Premium. So I guess its neither here nor there anymore anyway.
I plan on going digital ONLY for games I will want to keep to play whenever here and there. B4 and Titanfall are at the top of that list now. Normal games like AC4 and Dead Rising 3 have resale value to them so games like that I can trade it to get others. Also depends on X1's new achievement policy. I wouldnt mind 5000 points per game. I'd definitely be holding on to the other games and may ultimately go all digital.
Hmmmm well its time to get with the times, games like bf4 will purchase digital but games that I can purchase and trade with single player replay value such as dead rising and ryse I'll get physical to trade
why does this only have 3.5 stars? $70 for a game over 2 consoles is a great deal
So far, I haven't seen the new pre-order games on US playstation store. Only Knack and Warframe.
I myself prefer digital games as the physical copies cost almost double in South America. Steam has been great in that regard
