The lights are on
It's relatively rare to release a blockbuster new IP so late in a console cycle, so many had wondered if Naughty Dog was thinking about porting The Last of Us to PlayStation 4. Looks like that's not happening.
In a Q&A with fans on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli was asked about the possibility of a PS4 port of The Last of Us. He answered plainly: "We have no plans to do that."
However, Naughty Dog isn't done with The Last of Us. The Abandoned Territories multiplayer map pack released on PlayStation Network earlier this week. There are two more planned multiplayer DLC packs for the game.

Our Take:This is good news. The Last of Us is one of the most amazing games of this year, but I'd much rather Naughty Dog and Sony spend their time working on truly next-generation new IPs than porting over a game that already looks gorgeous to new hardware.

What about Gaikai and streaming PS3 games?
I had a feeling this was the case.
That's no biggie it is beautiful on the ps3 just shows ya next gen just a little upgrade nothing big or small. Reason why I'm not wooed by next gen at all gonna take a years to impress me.
I totally agree with the Our Take. Couldn't have said it better myself...
Good. Instead of working on a port to a game that's already more or less perfect just to get better graphics, go make another blockbuster instead. I'm just fine with Last of Us staying on PS3.
I've been looking for something to spend my hard-earned Monopoly money on...
The game is already flawless, so there would be no real point in porting it.
for now, we'll see
