The lights are on
Developer WayForward announced that its fire-fighting platformer, Might Switch Force 2, would be moving from 3DS to Wii U last month, but now we know exactly when.
Mighty Switch Force 2, upscaled for high-definition screens and a 16:9 ratio, will be available for Wii U tomorrow, October 17.
Our TakeI like the idea of 3DS and DS games getting ported to Wii U. I would love to replay classic DS games like Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow on the Wii U, so I hope other companies follow WayForward's lead here. It would be even cooler if Nintendo took a cue from Sony and offered a Cross Buy option.

Never heard of it. Good to see the Wii U is getting more games, though.
Mighty Switch Force For Everyone! 2!
For cross-platform Wii U and 3DS games, then I totally agree with the cross-buy concept. But I don't want to see too many games that are just on both systems. They need exclusives to make them matter.
Given the amount of 3DS and Wii U trailers and stuff that show up in both eShops, I've been expecting Nintendo to fully unify the shops--as well as the old WiiWare and VC shops--for a while. That, and unified user accounts.
1: I think it's cool how they announced that the day before it released. Incidentally, I think Valve will do that for Half Life 3. 2: I would love to see other more hard to find DS/ 3DS games on the Wii U.... The World ends with U.
