The lights are on
Pokémon was unleashed worldwide today, and Nintendo has shared some photos from its launch event at Nintendo World in New York.
Tons of people showed up to pick up the latest Pokémon release, and as you can see above, Jeff W. from Long Island took the opportunity to propose to his now fiance Debbie G.
You can check out the full collection of photos from the event in the gallery below.

Our TakePokémon X & Y appears to be a huge success for Nintendo. I'll be curious to learn how the game sold, as it seems to be appealing to new and old fans alike. The release of new Pokémon games have always been big exciting events, but It feels like there hasn't been this much fervor for the series in a long time.

This is Nintendo's saving grace from lackluster Wii U sales, but I bet it will pick up this holiday, and further. I just wished Gamefreaks would release a console Pok'eMon game. Anyways for those who own are getting it, have fun.
I was one of those people who wasn't going to get it, but I took the bait, and I'm loving it so far. This is my first pokemon game since yellow, loving the 3-D battles, a lot more fun to see those battles in 3-D than 2-D.
Don't get in me and blaizkens way. ;)
I am in love with Pokemon X.
Fully charging my new 3DS XL Pokemon X & Y Red version then jumping into Y!!! Had to go put some invisible shields on the screens and now I'm super stoked!!!!
That's pretty awesome! I might just ask for this for Christmas.
