The lights are on
Sales of Wii U consoles have increased by 685 percent in Europe thanks to the success of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.
Nintendo revealed the impressive sales numbers to MCV. Nintendo UK's head of consumer marketing James Honeywell said ,"We have long believed that software sells hardware and it's great to see that reaffirmed this week." When it released in Europe, Wind Waker HD debuted at number four behind Grand Theft Auto V, Fifa 14, and F1 2013.

Our TakeI'm happy to see the Wii U picking up some steam. I think it's a great system and I am still rooting for its success. I am curious to see how the game and accompanying console sales fared here in the United States.

This is worthless if we don't know how many units were actually sold.
I never doubted Nintendo!
I got a Zelda Edition Wii U on Sept 20th, I was just waiting for a price drop.
And as far as the other comments go that want the actual numbers Nintendo's Quarterly report will come out on Oct 30th so we will all get to see the numbers then.
I think will buy Wii just for Monster Hunter
anyone else think the world is a wonderful place right now?
Not gonna lie, the bundle pushed me to go ahead and buy one. I was going to buy one regardless, but knowing I could have bought this bundle and didn't would have killed me. The Gamepad's design is so awesome!
This makes me think that once the "system-sellers" come out (primarily Smash, but also the upcoming Mario Kart, Mario and DK games) Nintendo will be able to move a lot more systems. This is a pretty nice increase for a bundle based around a remake.
Good to hear some positive news about the Wii U for a change. I still don't have one though, may yet be a while until I pick one up.
