The lights are on
Double Fine's Costume Quest was originally conceived during Double Fine's original Amnesia Fortnight. The company event is a two-week period during which everyone on staff stops what they are doing, breaks into teams and creates a game concept. Now, you can play the charming RPG adventure on your iOS device.
Costume Quest will run on both iPhones and iPads, and it will run you only $4.99. The Grubbins on Ice DLC is included in the purchase price.
Our TakeCostume Quest is one of my favorite titles of the generation. No, that isn't an exaggeration. It's cleverly designed, absolutely charming, and offers a bite-sized RPG experience that can easily be replayed. I've added it to my annual Halloween ritual, which includes Nightmare Before Christmas, the Great Pumpkin, and my homemade pumpkin chocolate chunk bread.

This is one of my favorite games this generation as well. It's a nice, light-hearted romp. It's pretty easy but the mechanics are nice, and it's just cute.
could I have some of that pumpkin chocolate chunk bread, please?
I played through this and grubbins last year and I absolutely loved it. The writing is hilarious and always had me chuckling. Last night I started it again but this time with my girlfriend and she is positively enamored with the game. It is a real shame we will probably never get a proper sequel to CQ as the cliffhanger at the end of Grubbins left so many possibilities open for future titles!
Played the demo on Live Arcade and really enjoyed it. Felt the text reading got a bit overwhelming at times, but there was a lot of charm. I think I'll finally make the purchase so I can play this one on the go with my iPad!
Wow, this news headline turned into the story of Mike Futter all of a sudden. I feel closer to ya Mike. Now gimme some 'o that pumkin bread!!!!
Double Fine is completely stupid for not making more DLC or sequels for this game...completely idiotic.
