The lights are on
GTA Online is fun, but its roll-out hasn't exactly been smooth. A new title update remedies some of the biggest problems – like loss of progress and infinite loading – and is currently available for PS3 users. Xbox 360 users can expect the fix "tomorrow at the latest."
While it doesn't fix every complaint players have had with GTA Online, it should drastically cut down on the issues. Here's the list of fixes straight from Rockstar:

Our TakeObviously, this would have been nice to have sooner, but Rockstar acted quickly to rectify some of the most egregious issues that were surfacing in GTA V. For a game with so much ambition and such a massive scope, a few hiccups are to be expected. Of course, given the game's broad and enthusiastic fan base, no significant problem is likely to go unreported.

Best show "Fixes an issue where a player would become stuck in the mod garage when respraying a Sanchez motor bike" I favorite my dirty bike keep house in GTA V.
Servers still need some work. The friend I was playing with was in the passenger seat of my car, and he said that we were flying. I can verify that we were not, in fact, flying. Pretty sure it was a connection issue there. It may have just been on his end, though.
The funny thing is I haven't had much trouble with the glitches in this game, other then the 6 plus minutes for a game to load my biggest issue is getting kicked out of a match within seconds of entering a free-roaming match by other players.
Rockstar has nothing to be ashamed about. They brought us a great game with a stellar campaign to keep us occupied until Online came out. They forewarned us about problems Online might have the first few days it was out. There were indeed problems but they managed to fix all the main problems in a little under a week. Kudos to you, Rockstar.
At least they have been on the ball working to fix the issues that have arisen due to the massive popularity of this game's launch. Kudos to R* for putting forth their best efforts. Online is insanely addicting!
That is great news.
That's what I like about RockStar they get on the problem right away. I knew it wouldn't take them long to straighten out these problems.
Today it was playable, and even fun.
I will see tomorrow if my character and progress is still there.
I keep trying to download the patch but it gives me an error during the install, saying it's corrupted. Anyone know what's up with that?
