The lights are on
Many staff members (and one intern) are causing yet more chaos in Los Santos. Some of us are also playing some older titles, preparing for Pokémon X and Y, and going to see Gravity.
Tim Turi: This weekend I plan to make as much progress in GTA V as possible. I have a strong feeling I’m getting near the end of the game. While I’ll be bummed when the story is through, I’m ready to have my plate cleared for a big dive into GTA Online (assuming it’s up and running). Besides my car-jacking and heisting plans, I hope to jump into Halo: Anniversary Edition with a friend and blast away some Covenant and Flood for some nostalgic fun.
Jeff Marchiafava: This weekend I plan to check out more of GTA Online. I had some luck getting into the game last night, and despite a convenience-store robbery gone wrong (my partner thought I was shooting at him, but it was the clerk – I swear!), I had a lot of fun. Granted, it still eventually crashed and kicked me out of the game, but hopefully Rockstar’s continued server work results in some smoother gaming this weekend.
Ben Hanson: This weekend is just full of possibilities. I still plan on finishing Mario and Luigi: Dream Team before Pokémon comes out, but I'm losing a lot of steam around the 40 hour mark. I've also started losing steam with Grand Theft Auto V's missions; I still love the world and dinking around as much as possible though. Have a good weekend!
Kyle Hilliard: Pokémon pulled me away from Grand Theft Auto V for a while, so I am ready to make my triumphant return. I will continue to be playing Pokémon though, as there is still a lot I’d like to do in Kalos. Other than that, I think I will be going to see Gravity. I’ve been excited about that movie for a long time, based purely on Alfonso Cuarón doing something in space. He’s one of those directors that I want to see everything he does.
Mike Trinh: I’m looking forward to watching Gravity this weekend! Beyond that, I’ll be chipping away at the GTA V single player and possibly trying out Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, which is free on Xbox Live right now.
Isaac Perry: Guild Wars 2 continues to release some great free content over a year after release. I played some of the new Twilight Arbor content earlier this week and I look forward to wasting away hours doing it again and again.
Katie Seville: I hope to finally finish Bioshock and begin Infinite later this weekend. I know I’ll also continue to torment myself with information about Pokémon X and Y (I've finally decided on Y) that I’ve already read a million times. Hopefully seeing Gravity will distract me while I’m waiting.
Email the author Katie Seville, or follow on Game Informer.
I'll finally finish catching up with the first 8 seasons of Bones and also continue my first playthrough of Dragon: Age Origins. Plus homework, unfortunately.
Continuing playing the awesome Shin Megami Tensei IV with bouts of Kingdom Hearts HD ReMix 1.5 in between. Finishing up the latest season of The Almighty Johnsons too, watch this show it's awesome.
This weekend, i've been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf like crazy and The Wonderful 101 on my Wii U. I also hope to play all of the other 3DS games that I got this summer (like Mario & Luigi Dream Team) this weekend. Seriously, Animal Crossing: New Leaf has sucked up so much of my gaming time. I've already spent 450+ hours on it and there is no sign that that is coming to an end anytime soon. On my Wii U, other than The Wonderful 101, i'm going to get closer to beating New Super Luigi U 100%, and i'm going to beat Pikmin 3 100%.
I'll be playing GTA V & more of the Ascend: Hand of Kul beta.
GTA V all weekend :)
I'll be playing Shin Megami Tensei Soul Hackers, and jogging outside for a nice change of pace.
Wind Waker HD and Persona 4 Golden! Two of the greatest games I've ever played at once. Wow.
Gravity, Diablo 3, The Last of Us, and maybe a little return to Skyrim.
I might see my girlfriend, and I have to type up some reports for school.
Gaming wise, probably improve my sniping skills in the BF4 Beta (I'm actually not too bad. My best shots are a headshot from the base of a skyscraper, 208 meters, and a 187 meter headshot on a sprinting enemy.) and I might continue my 3rd borderlands playthrough (working on a siren) have a great weekend everyone!
Well, when I'm not at work, hopefully I'll be able to play more Wind Waker HD (started last night and got to Dragonroost Island before calling it a night). I also plan on seeing Gravity tonight, and I'm incredibly stoked.
And now that Breaking Bad is over, I'll be pouring through all of my saved DVR stuff. I finally finished the first season of Bates Motel (excited to see where it goes from here), so I'll probably catch up on some recent shows or some movies I bought.
When I'm not crying about Breaking Bad, that is.
Also, I feel Ben's pain. I want to love Dream Team way more than I do, but at this point, I just want it to end
I'm dedicated to drinking ton's of beer and watching horror movies. While still managing to get some time in on Diablo III and playing some more into my 2nd playthrough of Red Dead Redemption. Damn-it you Hell on Wheels.
I really want to 100% GTA single player before I jump into online so I hope to make a dent in that. I also plan on continuing my first play-through of SMT IV at some point.
Sounds similar to my plans as well.
Like 95% of the world, I will be playing Grand Theft Auto V. Alternating between singleplayer and online. And every weekend on October my friends and I have a video game horror fest. We just play horror games through the night and see how far we can get. Tonight and tomorrow we are tackling Silent Hill 2.
When I'm not spending time with my little girl or watching football, I plan to mix it up quite a bit this weekend. Currently, I am playing the following:
Wii U: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (beautiful...)
PS3: The Last of Us (trying my best to finish it this weekend)
360: Grand Theft Auto 5 (single player, and attempting to connect online)
Wii: Kirby's Return to Dreamland (graphics are outstanding for Wii)
3DS: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (Boss time on the 2nd mansion)
The Wind Waker HD and Asura's Wrath. Got back on Gamefly at a discounted price (they are really good about trying to bring you back) so I plan on getting The Last of Us and Tomb Raider while I have it.
Might also consider buying Pokemon X, as the more I've seen of it, the harder and harder it is becoming to resist it!
