The lights are on
Many staff members (and one intern) are causing yet more chaos in Los Santos. Some of us are also playing some older titles, preparing for Pokémon X and Y, and going to see Gravity.
Tim Turi: This weekend I plan to make as much progress in GTA V as possible. I have a strong feeling I’m getting near the end of the game. While I’ll be bummed when the story is through, I’m ready to have my plate cleared for a big dive into GTA Online (assuming it’s up and running). Besides my car-jacking and heisting plans, I hope to jump into Halo: Anniversary Edition with a friend and blast away some Covenant and Flood for some nostalgic fun.
Jeff Marchiafava: This weekend I plan to check out more of GTA Online. I had some luck getting into the game last night, and despite a convenience-store robbery gone wrong (my partner thought I was shooting at him, but it was the clerk – I swear!), I had a lot of fun. Granted, it still eventually crashed and kicked me out of the game, but hopefully Rockstar’s continued server work results in some smoother gaming this weekend.
Ben Hanson: This weekend is just full of possibilities. I still plan on finishing Mario and Luigi: Dream Team before Pokémon comes out, but I'm losing a lot of steam around the 40 hour mark. I've also started losing steam with Grand Theft Auto V's missions; I still love the world and dinking around as much as possible though. Have a good weekend!
Kyle Hilliard: Pokémon pulled me away from Grand Theft Auto V for a while, so I am ready to make my triumphant return. I will continue to be playing Pokémon though, as there is still a lot I’d like to do in Kalos. Other than that, I think I will be going to see Gravity. I’ve been excited about that movie for a long time, based purely on Alfonso Cuarón doing something in space. He’s one of those directors that I want to see everything he does.
Mike Trinh: I’m looking forward to watching Gravity this weekend! Beyond that, I’ll be chipping away at the GTA V single player and possibly trying out Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, which is free on Xbox Live right now.
Isaac Perry: Guild Wars 2 continues to release some great free content over a year after release. I played some of the new Twilight Arbor content earlier this week and I look forward to wasting away hours doing it again and again.
Katie Seville: I hope to finally finish Bioshock and begin Infinite later this weekend. I know I’ll also continue to torment myself with information about Pokémon X and Y (I've finally decided on Y) that I’ve already read a million times. Hopefully seeing Gravity will distract me while I’m waiting.
Email the author Katie Seville, or follow on Game Informer.
I had the lights off, and the only word that showed up was pokemon, I thought GI was for real for a minute there. I'll be playing my new favorite game, Custom Robo Arena.
Work! And a little bit of Payday 2 with the home dawgs.
Started playing the Battlefield 4 beta today, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Otherwise, I'll try to grind through more of The Last Of Us multiplayer and dive into the amazing game that is Wind Waker HD for the first time.
Aside from continuing to work through Grandia 3, I don't have any other plans right now.
GTAV, Borderlands 2 and try to crank out some hours for my endless backlog.... It's gonna be rough, but someone's gotta do it
GTA V online of course (hopefully I can either form or join a crew on PSN), maybe some Battlefield 3 multi, and I might buy Catherine since its on sale.
Thanks to 2K's awesome Steam sale this weekend, I'll be dropping everything in honor of everything 2K that I can get my hands on, namely Borderlands 2, X-Com: Enemy Unknown, and Civilization V. If blowing a bunch of dough on some triple A thrills leaves me any time left, I might just finish up Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow HD and work on some more blogs in me writing backlog. Have a good weekend everyone!
Got a lot of studying to do for my Business Law midterms on Tuesday. Otherwise a sports bonanza with my Dodgers and Broncos.
Gaming wise, I just finished up the story for GTA V. I'll probably start online, but if it doesn't work, then I'll just go for 100% completion/trophies. Otherwise, I started a run of Symphony of the Night that I want to get back on.
Trying out Battlefield 4's open beta, and continuing to replay Dragon's Dogma.
GTA V! What a fantastic game...
WIND WAKER HD!! Or... at least when I can.
Play Battlefield 4, MW2, and continue to watch my friends list list nothing but GTA V.
Got a variety of delightfully tedious household chores to do, but should still have time to finish GTA's story (I feel I'm approaching the end, but I may be wrong). Nice to see Gravity get so much attention from the GI team. Seeing it next week at the London Film Festival. Can't bloody wait.
