The lights are on
DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson says that the Bad Company franchise still has a future.
When asked about the possibility of a new Bad Company game in an interview with Polygon, Gustavsson said, "I love it. I want to see it again. Whether it can happen [right] now with the newly announced Mirrors Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront... but we'll see."
Despite the company's full dance card, he says that the franchise is still very much alive: "Trust me, the Bad Company [team] isn't forgotten, they are just on a very long vacation. They are out there, they're coming back."
Our Take:While I appreciate the multiplayer depth that the main Battlefield games bring to the table, to be honest I have to say that the less serious, more gonzo Bad Company franchise is more my speed. So, I'm glad that it hasn't been forgotten. Still, given his quote about Mirror's Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront, I'm not exactly holding my breath.

Bad Company 2 was way better than BF3. Bring it on, DICE.
2142 would be great too see again too.
If the campaign is longer than four hours this time then I'm very interested.
Its about time, i played bad company 2 and enjoyed it. im now playing bad company 1 until bf4 releases. i hope they get moh back on track. Moh 2 was awful. compared to Moh 1.
Bad Company is where it's at!!!! They better make a 3rd game. Fans have been waiting long enough for it.......
I would prefer a sequel to 2142.
Bad Company 2 was my first Battlefield game. I must say I was not disappointed. Although I liked Black Ops 1, somethin about that online experience, the destruction the TEAMWORK. It was awesome. I still remember on of the teammates blasted another for his lack of team play tryin to run and gun. Telling him this is not COD. Battlefield 3 was OK but I dont think it can touch BC2. I hope they do bring it back.
I like the main series' style and the bad company series' style equally. They both fill a void I have in my FPS heart.
Love to see Bad Company and Frostbite get even more hardcore in the Arma realm.
Bad Company 3 should return to the more open world nature of Bad Company 1
Halo games aside, Bad Company 2 is my favorite FPS. It's the best in the Battlefield franchise, and one of the best shooters ever made. Bad Company 3 is one of my most anticipated games.
