The lights are on
It's been a frustrating few days for players who have been looking forward to digging into Grand Theft Auto Online. Rockstar has issued a message to players who have been unable to connect to GTA V's online multiplayer. Basically, they've solved some of the problems, and more fixes are incoming.
The post on Rockstar's official site is more comprehensive, but that's the gist of it. Here is Rockstar's more in-depth update.
Rockstar adds that its entire team is working on these connectivity issues around the clock, and that they're hoping to have these initial technical issues resolved as quickly as possible.
Our TakeIt's not surprising that this week's launch of Grand Theft Auto Online has been bumpy, but that hasn't made it any less frustrating to affected players. Dan wrote an editorial about the benefits of being patient, but I know that doesn't make things any less annoying when you block off game time and wind up staring at a never-ending load screen. For the sake of everyone who's playing (or plans on joining the action soon), here's hoping that everything does indeed get fixed.

I really don't want to delete my character as he's wearing a tux and looks like a latino james bond. I guess I'll give a shot though.
i cant get past the first mission its sad :/
I'm glad to see that Rockstar is being vocal about what is going on and telling everything what is wrong and they are trying to fix the problems.
I want my girl back from GTA 4 online MP. All the girls in GTA Online were beaten with Fugly sticks and never recovered. Ditch the choosing your parents and their parents-'cause the variations are too few and minute-and none of them look good.
GTA online worked for me so I'm happy :) I tried a lot of time and at last I got though to do the tutorial race and mission and then it worked fine. And there are quite a lot of people playing the online fine as well.
Bummer. I guess I'll just have to figure out a way to spend the $34,000,000 I have with each character to pass the time. Thank you FIB.
Its like the best game ever so who really gives a flying *** about a few days of online not working
I was able to get on last night and play. BUT things were very slow loading up. Things will be worked out, but it just takes time.
I actually managed to get on yesterday and get past the first race plus a couple of the intro missions on a PS3. It is really fun but the matchmaking for the Jobs is pretty horrible. I got into one Job which was a Team Deathmatch sort of thing and we got launched into the job but it abruptly ended as soon as it started.
I know they have kinks they need to work out still and I will wait for the weekend like everyone else. Although, I feel like this weekend might have more problems with every single player trying to get on yet again. I guess only time will tell!
