The lights are on
The much anticipated public beta of EA and DICE's Battlefield 4 is now online.
Right now, the beta is not open to everyone. To receive access you have meet one of three criteria: you bought the Battlefield 4 Deluxe Digital Edition, you are a Battlefield Premium member, or you are a registered owner of the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition.
If you don't meet those requirements, you won't have long to wait. On this coming Thursday, October 4, the beta will be opened to all PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PC players. For more information, go to the Battlefield 4 beta FAQ.
The beta will feature the Siege of Shanghai map and the Conquest and Domination modes. It will also show off the game's dynamically changing environments and "Battlepacks" (random packs of camos and dog tags you earn from multiplayer).
Like many cross-gen games coming out this fall, you'll be able to upgrade your PS3 or 360 version of Battlefield 4 for $9.99.
Our Take:It will be interesting to see if Battlefield 4 can make a dent in the market dominance of Call of Duty this fall. This beta should be revealing; let's hope it lives up to the hype.

Playing it on 360,everything works fine but where are the ppl xD,getting this on XOne though
Ive checked in on the beta since about seven o'clock EST and i cant find a server that has even enough people to start a match. This is on the 360 version of the beta.
Good popular Battlefield 4 new lot map maybe online fun.
I guess the reality is the 4 day ahead time did not pay off for premium...not enough people just yet.
just as Jeffrey explained I didnt know that anyone can earn $6925 in 1 month on the computer. This Site
Looking forward to getting ahold of this beta on Friday (nice typo, Matt). Just hoping that it won't crash when millions of people hop on the servers on Friday like the BF3 beta did on launch day. Also, for those canceling their pre-order cuz of an alpha version, you're either too ignorant or stupid to understand the difference between a game in alpha and when it releases.
Thursday isn't October 4th...
I was looking foward to the conquest but I find im playing domination alot more as conquest on this map is tedious (maybe thats just beta and its not fully completed as a map!) the damage in the beta for guns is high enough though...or maybe the health has just been lowered! its great fun though..would like to play it on the PC as Xbox is not living up to the expectations i had for the beta, with the unfinished graphics, lag when certain things are happening on map and no commander mode i was slightly disapointed. But its a beta so i suppose i should have expected that!!Either way fun experience!
another thing..maybe its just happening with me but whem team-mates get a certain distance away there name disapears?? this can be annoying as alot of people start shooting then find out its a friendly! wasting crucial ammo..especaily since theres the new ammo system!

i hope they have more close quarter stages with some creativity like cod. with that being said bf4 is definitely on preorder. call of duty will do fine. Bf3 will do fine. its bf4 or codghst , bf4 and codghst.
its just other fps shooters coming out that need to worry or delay
CoD is losing one of its best technical advantages over Battlefield in the next-gen. With 60 FPS and 64 players even on consoles, I think it'll hit CoD hard. Not that I think CoD won't be the success it's been for the past decade anymore.
