Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Is This Week's PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection Title
Sony is starting off October with a bang. If you missed 38 Studios' first (and last) title, now is the time to jump in. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is the first PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection title for October, and it will be available tomorrow.
The team behind Kingdoms of Amalur was stellar. The story was penned by New York Times best-selling author and Amalur creative director R.A. Salvatore. Art was handled by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. The adventure includes approximately 200 hours of content (including side quests), and the class system was unique, offering a great deal of customization.

38 Studios may be gone, and it could be years before we see anything else in the Amalur universe (if ever), but Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a reminder of how much potential the franchise has. It's also a potent reminder that even the best ideas are subject to market conditions and the reality of finance.
