The lights are on
Say a prayer for the network teams at Rockstar, Xbox Live, and PlayStation Network. Grand Theft Auto Online kicks off tomorrow bright and early. If you want to get in right away, be sitting at your console of choice at 4 AM Pacific/5 AM Mountain/6 AM Central/7 AM Eastern. The title update will start rolling out about that time.We also know that Rockstar has been working to make sure that griefing is at a minimum in friendly circumstances. If you invite a friend to your residence, he or she won't be able to shoot up the place or steal your cars. If you both own the same property, you'll have individualized instances of it available. Rockstar has also addressed the concern over real-money purchases of GTA$. Players will still need to rank up with Reputation Points before they can purchase high-end items.Grand Theft Auto Online will continue to see new content after launch. Tools to create and publish your own races and deathmatches, new vehicles and items, a capture the flag mode, and major heists will be added over the coming weeks. For more on Grand Theft Auto Online, check out our extensive preview. Keep an eye on the Rockstar Newswire tomorrow for updates, as the servers are bound to be slammed. Oh, and remember to hit the ATM to bank your score. You don't want to lose it to some street thug.
[Source: Rockstar]Our TakeGrand Theft Auto Online is extremely ambitious and there are a lot of people who want to play it right away. Do not be surprised if the servers buckle under the weight of the people behind $1 billion worth of sales all trying to access the game at the same time. It'll even out over time, but be prepared for some disruptions. From everything we've heard and seen, it'll be worth the wait.

Having played World of Warcraft during the launch of Burning Crusade, I know how a super popular game can be on launch. Luckily I still have plenty of 100% to go through, so I'll bide my time on that until everything is ironed out. I may try to pop on and see how things are, or to accept a crew invite... but I'm in no rush.
I'll be spending the first day of GTA Online at school then work :')
That's cool that you can live with friends.
So playing this before school
if only it was midnight
I'm so confident there'll be a PC version I'm going to hold off for that. But I will be playing the PC version of the BF4 beta tomorrow. I'm not that good at the multiplayer, I just want to see how good the game looks.
BF4 beta and GTA Online go live today... it is a good day.
Of course it debuts when I have a 12 hour day, 9 to 9, at college. *sigh*
I'll just play the BF4 beta if the servers get too bad. No problem. Considering people have school and work, it likely will be ok until evening. So I'll get a few hours in at least since I'm off work.
If anyone wants to join a crew of good players and nice guys in general that watch eachother's backs join "bad breakerss"
I wish the best for Rockstar. It's a lot of things and I know there might be problems it always happen to video games so good luck to them and have fun ppl who got GTA V ^.^
I like the reputation restricting people from overpowered stuff early on.
Hoping I can play this with my cousin at his place soon.
Lets hope they fixed the car storage issues...getting tired not being able to save the cars I want or upgrade them due to a bug :(
Just beaten the game today but I won't be able to try out Online since I don't get off work until 4pm. Can't wait to try it out.
About damn time
