The lights are on
Nothing says we're inching closer to a release date like box art finally getting in place.
Destiny is arguably one of the industry's most anticipated upcoming titles, as many are curious to see what Bungie has up its sleeves outside of the Halo universe.
Today, Activision released the official box art for all platforms. Check it out below.
What are your thoughts?
Our TakeIt's great to finally see some characters front and center as for a while all we had was an image of the world as the stock box art for Bungie's upcoming project. They say not to judge a book by its cover, but a lot of consumers do just that. Luckily, this box art looks pretty slick and has us excited to don the role of Guardian of the City and keep humanity safe.

I don't know, to me the box art for a game doesn't matter to me. I am going to lean towards digital download to save clutter space (depending on game sizes however since there is only 500 GB drives). To me it just doesn't matter as much as to others. It is hard for me to get excited about a game based on the box art.
Thanks the gaming gods that the cover isn't your typical Orange and Blue background.
I like the cover art, but does the guy in the middle look like his head is backwards to anyone else?
This reminds me quite a bit of the Halo(5) trailer from this past E3.
Someone tell Chief to get it together and put his helmet on straight. I know he's upset and all but get in the game.
I feel like this could have taken a more subtle approach and achieve a stronger overall piece. I just feel like I've seen this game before when looking at this box art, it doesn't set itself apart like how the gameplay and concept does.
It seems kind of bland to me.
I love how the Guardians are facing away and might as well be silhouettes. I always hated how Commander Shepard always faced me because I made a custom Shepard.
The box art could be a giant banana so long as it said Destiny on the case and the game was inside! "My body is ready."
I don't like the character in the middle because it looks like they're facing forwards when they aren't. I'm interested to see how the EU version looks, since they usually have classier looking cover art.
I would have preferred a more minimalistic look, but the cover art does just fine.
Just keeps me excited!! My must have game of 2014!
looks fine ta me
