The lights are on
Microsoft is taking the Xbox One on the road to more than 175 different cities around the world starting next month.
If the event comes to your town it will be free, but you must be 18 or older to check out the Xbox One. Games on display will include Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, LocoCycle, and others, but Microsoft does warn that not all games are guaranteed to be present at all events.
There are going to be two types of events for the tour: The Area One tour and the Test Drive tour. The Area One will offer a larger event with more games and will only appear in about 75 cities. The Test Drive tour will offer fewer games, but is more mobile as it will use special Xbox One vehicles and will head to more than 175 cities. Below are the confirmed dates and locations for the Area One tour:
For the full list of locations for both tours, you can head here.

Our TakeTaking the Xbox One on tour is a good, but expensive way of getting the system into players' hands before launch. I have seen these kind of events before, and I am always curious if they entice new buyers, or are just interesting social opportunities for video game fans.

No one ever cares about Ohio it seems. Sometimes, but most of the time they don't.
Holy crap they're coming to my city lol.
good thing I'm in DC. gonna see that thing!
Dallas is like a 3 hr. drive for me...*** it, I'm going!
Closest one to Louisville, KY is in Indianapolis. Might make it
oh yeah there coming to atlanta on my birthday weekend and ill be on vacation great timing microsoft
this seems more like a political campaign than a next gen event to me. Still, its good for those who don't live in the more spread out regions of America like where I am. Its funny, because I would have expected them to just use gamestop or best buy to do this, not equip four trucks. (got the number from polygon)
The first place in Nashville is right down the street from my house.
Biggest marketing ploy ever. Kudos to Microsoft for stepping it up for this one.
Why don't they ditch Paris and do New York Comic Con for the 10th to the 13th it would be a perfect venue!
I got a few in my area. I will be personally going there.
Mall of America is the 2nd biggest tourist attraction in this country. It's absurd that we don't get a full event. the Midwest always gets screwed.
skimpiest tour ever, not coming within 350 miles of my town, you'd think if it was just a giant van with games in it they'd show up to more places oh wells
I still can't believe they are coming to philly first.
Gonna check this out in the City of Brotherly Love.... cool !!!
At least Sony doesn't need to do this. They aren't the ones who made all these idiotic decisions upon announcement.
