The lights are on
In the world of The Last of Us, September 26 is the day that the outbreak truly began. The team at Naughty Dog is marking the day with the release of a video that puts an unusual twist on the game's final scenes.
The video, which you can watch below, was initially shown to PAX attendees last month. However, be warned: It spoils some late-game events, so you can only watch it safely if you've completed The Last of Us.
In the same post on the PlayStation Blog, creative director Neil Druckmann says that Naughty Dog will unveil more about the company's DLC plans tomorrow, September 27.
Our TakeI love when developers do things like this. Behind-the-scenes moments and alternate interpretations of scenes are always fun to watch. I wish games included more of this on-disc, but I'm just pleased that the content is released in some form.
Of course, the bigger news is the DLC tease. I'll have to wait until tomorrow for all the details, but I'm hoping for the announcement of some single-player, story-based missions.

The Last of Us musical. Coming to Broadway soon.
I hope the DLC isn't an alternate ending. I'd rather have the DLC be based around other characters, maybe Tommy.
This video wins the internet, for the whole week.
I want that ending instead! jk
They should've kept this ending, its so beautiful :') lmao
Troy Baker & everyone that was part of The Last of Us was just friggin phenomenal.
That was hilarious!!!!
Please release this as the New + Survivor ending
Slow clap. Clap. Clap. Clap.
[Screw that] Raucous applause!!!
Hoot and holler! Cavort and cajole!
My goodness that was amazing. I love how Troy Baker just went along with it like he was told and never broke character.
This is so awesome hahah. Loved how none of them ever broke character. Talk about dedication.
The Last of Us meets Les Mis? Amazing.
I'm sure some gamers were thinking, "Hey! Wouldn't it have been better if The Last of Us ended with Joel and Marlene debating what the right thing to do with Ellie in an opera singing fashion?" Well, whoever they are, they were on to something.
Seriously though, I liked this take. It was like The Last of Us being told in a style like Les Miserables. Speaking of which, Naughty Dog, get to work on "The Last of Us: The Post-Apocalyptic Opera".
That's too awesome. So much win.
That was cool!
Lol, that is awesome. I hope they release single player DLC, that was great...
