The lights are on
The PlayStation Network will be undergoing maintenance tomorrow (Wednesday, September 25, 2013), but if you're smart and plan ahead, the inconvenience will be minimal. PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management will be down, but you should be able to play online.
In order to make sure your multiplayer is unaffected, you'll need to have logged in recently. A post on the official forums suggests that signing in during "the past few days" should put you in the clear, but for safety purposes, we'd recommend doing so today or tomorrow morning.
The maintenance is scheduled to begin at 10:15 AM Pacific/1:15 PM Eastern and last until 4:15 PM Pacific/7:15 PM Eastern. If you're planning on nabbing Rayman Origins for PlayStation Vita (coming to the Instant Game Collection today), we suggest starting that download as soon as possible.

No problem, GTA 5 has me forgetting about online for the time being.
I will have to do it later.
GTA Online hasn't launched yet and I'm still having too much fun with GTA V to care about getting on MW3 or BF3. So I'm fine with this.
Not really that big of a deal, online play and the apps are always available, unless you haven't used your PS3 before tomorrows deadline.
Doesn't bother me I only have Last of us on the PlayStation, I already beat it three times. So I won't need to get on any time soon.
GTA V online isn't live yet. Millions of users unaffected.
I'm gonna try and get back into Last of Us multiplayer again tonight, so I should be fine.
I wonder if this willl continue after ps4 owners have to pay for online services...
Well this is good to know i'll have get to this when i get home today.
Thanks for the heads up - my friend and I just signed in for a quick session of Borderlands 2 to prevent this.
Thanks for the heads up Mike!
