The lights are on
Becoming a top-tier competitive gamer doesn't happen by accident. You don't just sit down at your PC one day and master Starcraft II. It requires intense practice and training. If you've ever wondered what that entails, the newest episode of This is eSports is worth watching.
In the video below, former professional Halo player Dave "Walshy" Walsh visits the Red Bull Training Grounds. During his visit, he speaks with commentator and former pro Starcraft player Sean "Day" Plott about the environmental elements that factor into competition.
You can check out the first two episodes of This is eSports here, watch the new installment below, and check in every week for a new video in the 16-part series.
Our TakeI'm learning a lot watching this series. Getting a look at the training regimens, competition environments, and hearing from the former and current pros shows a human side of the sport. I'm looking forward to seeing where the rest of the series takes us.

Dammit, no matter what, whenever I see "red bull," I think of the National Guard.
We need another term for this, this is not sport. I'm not saying it's less hard, just putting apples wit kitkats is not right...
Nobody actually goes to the Red Bull training ground to train......
