Rockstar Trying To Fix Social Club Issues

by Joe Juba on Sep 18, 2013 at 06:01 AM

Grand Theft Auto V came out yesterday, to wide critical praise (including ours). However, not everything about the game's launch is smooth; Rockstar's Social Club isn't connecting with as it should, but the company is working to resolve the issue.

The Social Club is the online hub for Rockstar products where players can send messages, form crews, and keep track of stats. However, some users have reporting problems with account linking on the service, along with stats not updating and other connection issues.

On its support site, Rockstar says: "We are aware of these issues with Social Club or related networking hardware/services and have been working to resolve them as quickly as possible."

Rockstar also acknowledges issues with the companion iFruit app, like login errors and data resets. While you're waiting for the connectivity issues to get ironed out, you can read these helpful tips to keep in mind as you start your time in Los Santos.

Our Take
The launch of any big game is going to have some rough patches. While the network problems are inconvenient, at least they aren't preventing anyone from playing and enjoying the game. However, it will be even better when everything is functioning as intended.
