The lights are on
Grand Theft Auto V came out yesterday, to wide critical praise (including ours). However, not everything about the game's launch is smooth; Rockstar's Social Club isn't connecting with as it should, but the company is working to resolve the issue.
The Social Club is the online hub for Rockstar products where players can send messages, form crews, and keep track of stats. However, some users have reporting problems with account linking on the service, along with stats not updating and other connection issues.
On its support site, Rockstar says: "We are aware of these issues with Social Club or related networking hardware/services and have been working to resolve them as quickly as possible."
Rockstar also acknowledges issues with the companion iFruit app, like login errors and data resets. While you're waiting for the connectivity issues to get ironed out, you can read these helpful tips to keep in mind as you start your time in Los Santos.

Our TakeThe launch of any big game is going to have some rough patches. While the network problems are inconvenient, at least they aren't preventing anyone from playing and enjoying the game. However, it will be even better when everything is functioning as intended.

Well, hopefully these issues are fixed by the time I get home from work. Though, I still need to sign up for Social Club I think.
Not really an issue right now sense GTA Online won't be out until October. Been playing the game with no problems.
The game is still pretty great.
It was working good at the midnight launch, but yesterday I couldnt take photos anymore. I was assuming itsjust everyone and there mother playing the game at once. Servers all fucky. Hope they get it fixed soon! Game's awesome
Is it me or is it when a big game comes out something always goes wrong with the online?
Ah, I was wondering if that was just my account or all. My account isn't linking to GTA V or Midnight Club, which I bought a few weeks ago during XBL's Rockstar Sale. GTA V is amazing though, I have almost zero complaints, and those I do are incredibly minor, they just need to work on their Social Club though.
This has made a few missions impossible, because they require the camera.
Whew, I'm glad it's not just me then. I've really been wanting to check out the iFruit app and see all the stuff I can do with Chop, and to check out the car customization as well. That aside though, this game seriously kicks ass. Everything about the game so far is fantastic, and the world is freaking huge. It'll take forever to really familiarize myself with Los Santos (let alone the entire state of San Andreas), and I mean that in the best possible way.
Haven't had any issues so far. All is running pretty smooth for me. I'm really enjoying the game. The Social Club is working just fine for me. I've been on it since LA Noire I believe, that or Max Payne 3. Still, with the new GTA, it seems to be working well.
Figured something like this would happen. If its nothing else that's major, I'm okay with this.
Social Club has never worked right. At least not with GTA4 (don't have any other R* games), it was always slow to update (sometimes not at all or glitchy). So they're finally going to fix it, well I hope it's not going to have any negative impact on their other games (yes people still play those).
I have yet to get the iFruit app to work so far because of these issues. Not a big deal as my understanding is it applies to the online aspect but I'm glad to hear they are fixing it =)
i hope they fix this soon because I really want to get Chop up to speed.
I haven't had any issues so far.
It's always had a few issues.
