The lights are on
Pokémon X & Y are launching next month, and along with bringing back the classic starters, Nintendo is also bringing back the game's classic catch phrase.
There's a new song, and a new website celebrating the return of the three and half words, and if you use the special code below, you can unlock content on the site and digital Pokémon downloads. Nintendo is spreading these codes all over the Internet on assorted websites.
Nintendo also created a new music video from artist Pogo celebrating, "gotta catch 'em all," which you can check out below. To gain access to the site so that you can enter the code, you'll have to watch the music video. Nintendo and Game Freak teased the announcement this weekend on Twitter. Pokémon X & Y release for 3DS on October 12. For more on the game, check out the most recent trailer.
Our TakeFrankly, I didn't even realize the "Gotta catch 'em all!" motto ever left, but I am willing to take Nintendo and Game Freak's word for it. I guess it's a phrase I have always associated with the game and the show, even when Nintendo doesn't.

I have always said they should bring back the catch phrase.
The new "song" is awful. It's not even a song, just random noises and horrible auto tune...
*This* was the special announcement? No one cares, though. :(
I like how they mixed dubstep with the classic song, its different but its still the same.
WOBBUFFET TEXT TONE ACQUIRED, thank you based GI
This is pretty sweet but I wanted classic Pokemon games on VC... but its whatever. My hype for Pokemon X has crashed through the ceiling.
Actually the code does work it unlocked a pokeball on the site and i got a ring tone
