The lights are on
Update: Keiji Inafune's successful Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter has broken the $2 million mark, ensuring that new Boss Rush mode will be in the game.
Of more interest, the game's console stretch goal, which would add PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions of the game, is $2.2 million. Given that the Kickstarter has 20 days to go, that seems very likely.

After receiving fan feedback (and thanking those fans for their support) Comcept and Keiji Inafune have decided to lower the stretch goal to bring the Mega Man spiritual successor to consoles.
At the launch of the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter, the stretch goal for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions of the game was $2,500,000, but it has now been lowered to $2,200,000. This change also eliminated some of the mysterious undefined stretch goals.
Currently the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter is sitting at $1,815,957, with 24 days left to go. For more on Mighty No. 9, head here.

Our TakeMighty No. 9's console release seems like a sure thing at this point, which is fantastic news. As excited as I was to hear about the creator of Mega Man making a new Mega Man-like game, I was disappointed to hear about its PC exclusivity. I really want to play the game on my television with a controller with as little effort as possible, and with these new relaxed stretch goals, it seems like there's a good chance that this will happen.

I am a happy man, thanks Keiji, maybe MONEYCOM will finally release MMX9.
Cool beans, I hope it makes it.
Not to sound like his stretch goal is out of line, or i don't want them making money that they shouldn't be....but im still thinking $2mil plus sounds like alot of money to port a game. I wonder how much megaman 9 and 10 costed campcom to make and put on virtual consoles...
Don't be surprised if they create another stretch goal for PS4 and Xbox One. I sent them a question asking if they have any intention to possibly do a stretch goal for Microsoft and Sony's next gen consoles and they replied saying that they aren't officially looking at it right now, but it is something they would like to do, along with Vita and 3DS. I'm going to support this as soon as I can.
I think it's a good move to lower the price for the console release stretch goal to $2.2 mil. I've noticed that the funding has lost alot of steam recently. Keeping track of it daily, it seems to have gone from hundreds of thousands of dollars per day to where it is now at about $50-75 grand per day. Granted there's still a ton of days left for the goal but if funding drops to say $25-30k daily, it could be cutting it real close. I do believe it will make the next goal but if they release one last stretch goal after that, I'm not sure it will be reached.
Yay!!! I will support this!!
I'm so glad they're doing this cause I can't download stuff and I rarely pay for online games, now I can get some achievements and have some real fun with this!!
This game shot off like gangbusters when it hit kickstarter. I really hope it's not losing momentum, with the majority of people who would pledge already having pledged. I'd love to see a console version of this, so any story that continues to get the word out is a good thing. Here's hoping GIO bumps this story every week or so to possibly reach more fresh faces. I know it takes inspiration from Mega Man, so I'm hoping it will have a "Nintendo hard" difficulty setting as well.
w/in 5 days we will reach the 2.2M mark. (hope they made another goals like, reach $5M and get a physical copy + artwork w/ keiji's handwritten autograph.)
with that. -- instant buy.
This is an epic project and Comcept working with Keiji Inafune or vise versa will make Mighty No. 9 an awesome game. I plan on supporting it in the days ahead.
I don't understand why the console versions are always last on Kickstarters lists. Sure it might take a lot to do it but when its released you'd get your money back and then some.
Looks like a good game and I'm glad they are acknowledging that the Wii U is a console too.
Looking forward to it!.. Will forget it when I finally get it. Hopefully it's on STEAM
Man i can't wait for this!! I can't wait for it to come out on PS3!!! I wish them the best of luck in reaching their goals and for future success with this new IP
This will be fun I imagine.....
I will buy a Wii U version no doubt.
